Sports that can spice up your sex life

Let’s face it. Sitting there on the couch and watching television all day may help you beat the summer heat but will not do you a bit good in the bedroom. Studies have shown a direct correlation between physical inactivity and diminishing sexual appetite. On the other hand, leading an active lifestyle by engaging in sports makes you fit, healthy and fires up your libido. So, here are some sports that can enhance your sex drive.

1. Good sex requires cardio-vascular endurance

You should not flop out exhaustion while still revving up your engine. A hot, sizzling time in bed requires a good deal of endurance. Sports that can help you with this are:

• Running
• Swimming
• Volleyball
• Basketball
• Lawn Tennis
• Ballroom dancing
• Kickboxing

2. Muscular strength

You need muscular strength for good sex. Almost all your various muscle groups perform different muscle contractions in the entire process. Your muscles should be primmed and well-conditioned for it. You wouldn’t want you or your partner to develop muscle pain or cramp in the thick of the encounter, right? So, it pays to acquire muscle strength by engaging in the following:

• Advance weight lifting for women
• Rowing
• Mountain climbing
• Surfing

3. For flexibility

You can switch to different positions with much ease and greatly improve your time in the bedroom when you have flexibility. Without it, you will be doomed to the same boring sexual routine. Better, make time for these:

• Golf
• Gymnastics

Engaging in a enthusiastic sex ofentimes mean holding yourself prone to in unusual positions for some length of time. But don’t just make sex as the motivation to engage in these sports, but aim for the goal for a healthier you.

Life is precious

Just had a peaceful weekend but was wrecked by a heartbreak. A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with a 2 cysts in the cervix.  Yes, two.  We were just meeting for a quick lunch when she said it in a rather ashamed way.  Said she just went in for a checkup because she was having her period twice a month for the last 2 months.  She didn’t expected nor did we that she had cysts in her cervix.  Her gynecologist said that they are yet to see if the cysts are cancerous and if they are, she is suffering from cervical cancer.

Our world went upside down. My friend was putting on a brave face.  But I felt something just fell inside me.  I felt that we were too young to have this experience.

4 reasons why summer sucks

Most regard summer as the coolest time of the year.  Why?  Well, it’s because school’s virtually in the other universe.  Plus, we get to go to the beach and party whenever, wherever.  We can stay up till what time our body clock will allow us and wake up in the middle of the afternoon the next day.  We can finally get out and perfect our tan or spend mo hours shedding or increasing the pounds.  There are so many good things about summer. Call me a pessimist, but there are also not-so-good things that summer can bring.

1.  Younger kids making nonsense troubles

Summer is the time when kids are also on hiatus from school- and they seem to take advantage of this time to hang around and play jokes on others, take up your paid parking space, or taunt you endlessly.  I love kids, but they can get irritating especially during summer time.

2. Sweaty armpits

Yes, this sounds off.  But this is one inevitable part of summer. It’s like we have to check our armpits more than the usual just to check that it’s not too sweaty to the point that it’ll smell around the place.

3. High gas prices

It makes us think twice of taking the car for our out-of-town trips. $4 a gallon?  Who will have the motivation to get out of the house and drive?

4.  Sunburn

This will happen if we don’t know how to proper suntanning.  But then, even if we do, due to the worsening effects of global warming, we’ll still suffer sunburns.

But then, even with these bad things can summer brings, summer is still one of the best times of the year.  We can set aside some sources of stress and just relax and enjoy the heat.

Animals in their happiest moments

I am so into animals right now, as my last post on pda-loving animals post can testify. So, in order to satisfy my muse for blogging about animals, have collected a few photos of smiling and happy animals. They just seem so inspirational and their happiness is contagious.

Whatever made this camel happy, it must be really funny and it looks like this camel has something up on its sleeve too.

The bed must be really comfy for this cat to be smiling.

It’s just a great moment to photograph a happy and gliding dog.

Looks like this duck likes the land better than lake.

This is kinda creepy for me, but you can tell this frog’s happy.

Always good to be in the sun for a nice tan for this kid.

You can’t really see the smile, but you can see the contentment. I think that is the closes we can see as far as happy lions are concerned.

Nothing better for this pig (besides eating, of course) but to play in the muddy field.

It’s rare to see fierce animals such as these tiger to actually appear happy.

And to think they want to be out in the wild more, but this chipmunk seems to be enjoying a domesticated life.

Looking at these happy animals takes the stress off today’s miseries. They just make one believe that the no matter what kind of life you have, there is always something to smile about. But then, they don’t have bills to pay, but also, we don’t worry being eaten by a bigger animal in the next moment.

A beautiful love story

A friend shared this and I thought I should share this with you all:

“I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw aCashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, ‘I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll.’

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ”Granny,
are you sure I don’t have enough money?”

The old lady replied: ”You know that you don’t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.”

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

‘It’s the doll that my sister loved most an d wanted so much for Christmas.

She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.’

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. ‘No, Santa Claus can’t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.’

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ‘My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.”

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: ‘I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.’

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ‘I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won’t forget me.’

‘I love my mommy and I wish she didn’t have to leave m e, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.’

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ‘Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll!”

‘OK’ he said, ‘I hope I do have enough.’ I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: ‘Thank you God for giving me enough money!’

Then he looked at me and added, ‘I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!”

‘I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.”

‘My mommy loves white roses.’

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
woman and a little girl.
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn’t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beaut iful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is
still, to this day, hard to imagine.

And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.”

As love is a universal thing, animals do have the right to love and show it to everyone they know and cared and yes, even to those who they don’t know. I just feel cheerful at the sight of love and seeing animals cuddling and kissing knowing that they also feel the love in the air.

These just show that animals do know how to demonstrate love, not only by humping their partner but by actually kissing or embracing or putting a protective shoulder on them.

For once, would like to kill someone

This doesn’t really involve me at all but a colleague of mine who doesn’t work in the same department as I am. She used to work as a singer in  jazz club before she got the job and it was in her resume so her former boss knew but her new boss, a man in his early 40’s seems to have taken this in a bad way. Ever since he learned she was a former singer in a jazz club, he had never missed a day criticizing the way she talks, walks, dresses (which was very businesslike as demonstrated in her always wearing a coat and below the knee skirts).

She was always on time for her deadlines, well she did missed two, but it was well-reasoned out as she was hospitalized for 2 days for her sugar level.  What does he have against a former jazz singer?  She swore she didn’t knew him from somewhere and he was from another state and my friend hasn’t been out of New York all her life and his work background had never placed him anywhere in the Big Apple.

My friend is thinking of quitting and is crying everyday as he is getting too much too handle.  The worst thing was, her boss hardly knows how to manage them as all he does was sit at his office and rarely gives them leadership. He was hired to train them but all he managed to do was to point out how bad she was for the job.

Ugh, it makes me sick.
